PAckaging Design
I have had experience utilizing dielines and style guides to create packaging ranging from simple hang tags and backer cards to complex boxes and blisters. I work with licensed branding and also help to brainstorm in-house branding. I like to work with the manufacturers and examine the products to determine what will make the product shine best at retail while keeping it safe for shipping. For complex products, I create technical illustrations for directions and I also work with safety and testing teams to guarantee that all important information and/or warnings are always included with the packaging.

A comical backer card for large EVA mustaches. Several different styles of mustache were able to use the same backer card.

Licensed packaging for light weight scarves. This door knob hanger style packaging hung well at retail and allowed customers to touch and feel the product.

A header card with a heavy paper stock for a specialty licensed mask. We used a grommet to balance the weight of the mask at retail and to keep the card from getting damaged.

A small sock hanger card. I kept this small so only the most important details are noted on the back and so that the product gets more attention.

A simple bellyband wrap for leggings. We utilize simple model shots so that the customer can tell what it is at a glance when the product has to be obscured.

Retail packaging for a mass market version of a licensed costume kit. The use of model shots and snipe details help to showcase the product when shelf space is tight.

Backer card for a light-up horn.

Clamshell with insert card for lightweight foam deer antlers.

Bag packaging for toy brick refills with appropriate warnings.

Licensed window box showing an array of rings with a fun die-cut artwork. I worked with the manufacturer to make sure the rings stayed securely in the box during shipping.

A window box for licensed snapback cap that utilizes toy bricks. I used the branding style guide to create a fun, colorful item to stand out in stores.

An elegant shipper box for officially licensed replica Alice in Wonderland costumes and costume accessories. Since these costumes were expensive and complex, they were sent in this large shipper box with specialty purple gift paper and gold metallic print stickers of clock and hat art.
Other Print Design
I have worked with in-house design teams to create catalogs, trade show graphics, and line plan presentations for licensors and large retail accounts. Please reach out through the contact form on the About Me page if you are interested in seeing more in-depth examples. Out of respect for my teams, I only show examples with products that have made it through the entire production process.
